Ladson is a fairly small CDP which encompasses parts of Berkeley, Dorchester and Charleston counties in South Carolina. It has two neighborhoods and is the 31st largest community in the state. It is conveniently near Charleston and other large cities and is therefore convenient to jobs, educational opportunities and entertainment options. Major roadways that cross the CDP include U.S. Route 78 and Interstate 26. Average commute times for residents of Ladson, run from about 30-31 minutes and most commuters drive private vehicles or carpool with friends. However, despite it being a fairly small community, bus service is available. And a number of people choose this option for their daily commutes.
